Lego Star Wars – Viva La Procrastination!
Oh, Lego Star Wars II Trilogy, where have you been all my life?

This is the cutest damn console game I’ve ever played, aside from old school Mario Bro’s on the original Nintendo. It’s actually kind of hard in some areas, so it keeps you baited for a good long time – but with my 5 yr old son excitedly spending all of the studs we collect each time we arrive back @ the cantina (when I repeatedly inform him that we must save them til we reach 1.1Million) so we’ll likely never get to purchase the unlocked “Ghost Of Ben Kenobi” character and will be undoubtedly on the Lego fish hook until we can.
Le Sigh
If you haven’t seen it yet, here’s a peek.

Fucking adorable! (Warning: Lando has this strange ability to stop Leia in her tracks no matter what she’s doing in-game, to kiss her hand.)

I hear there’s a pc version to the game but I’ve not played it. My friend “hobo jack” has that one and he too says it is love. I think I like it on the console best. This way I have something to break the monotony of pc gaming. I’ll save that shit for Warcrafting on the Macs, and Sims2/Spore on the PC.
Speaking of Spore – You really have to play this.

There’s a pre-lease for the full “game” version that comes out later this year ($50!), but they do sell a “creature creator” version for $10 that’s seriously a lot of fun (I saw it @ zee wal-mart yesterday for $9.97 and almost couldn’t walk away from it). The game site offers free trial downloads, full version download, pc/mac box purchase, and some links to video about the game itself.
I suppose if you like wasting hours of time creating bizarre and totally unique “creatures” (that you can share with the web, as the game requires an internet connection) you’ll enjoy it. I definitely do.
Viva la procrastination!!!
